Riley Obituary

Riley Jones Koon

Riley has left this earth and now has begun a new journey.
Our beam of sunshine was taken from us July 20, 2010
after a tragic bike accident at the early age of 28.
Riley Jones Koon was born August 18, 1981 to Mark and
Sherry Koon in Ogden, Utah. For the majority of his life,
Riley lived in Centerville, Utah. Riley was active in sports
growing up and played varsity hockey for Viewmont High
School. He graduated from Viewmont High School in 2000.
He was married to his best friend, Kari Keddington on July 31, 2003.
Riley was an entrepreneur in all aspects of his life. He was
very strong willed and driven. He followed his own path
and was always looking for new adventures. Riley liked to
travel and visited many places all over the world. Riley loved
to be outdoors, especially in beautiful Red Rock Country. He
loved to go to the mountains and fish, snowmobile, motorcycle,
kayak and camp. He especially liked to hike with his dogs
Blizzard and Roots. He also enjoyed hunting with his family.
Riley had a passion for music, as it was his way of expressing
himself and like to share that passion with others. Riley
enjoyed working on jeeps and loved to four-wheel in the
mountains and especially Moab. Most of all Riley liked to
make people laugh. He loved his family and friends dearly.
He had a big heart and touched many lives. He will be
missed by many. Riley's motto in life was "Live Free" and
he lived his life to the fullest at all times.
Riley is survived by the love of his life, Kari, parents Mark
and Sherry Koon, brother Brandon (Alecia), sisters Melissa
(Richard) and Kristi (Doug) and many nieces, nephews,
aunts, uncles, and grandparents. He was preceded in death
by his friend and cousin, Jennifer Manning.
A Celebration of Life graveside service will be held
